Army Football Team
Some of the soldiers at the Rowville Military Camp in 1942 formed a football team to play informal matches in the district. The "S" on their jumpers may refer to the fact that many of them were South Australians. The "1918 Premiers" sign was probably an ironic reference to themselves as old-timers or it could mean that the army's last great victory was when the First World War was won in 1918.
