This is a biography of George Augustus Robinson, Chief Protector of Aborigines, first in Tasmania and later in the Port Phillip District. It includes a section on William Thomas, the Assistant Protector who was responsible for the tribes that frequented the Rowville area. There are copies of portraits of both men.
