During the evening of Rowville Cricket Club's 50th Anniversary celebrations on 25 January 2003, the 50 year team was announced. Below are brief details of the careers of the twelve selected players:
1 Stewart Finn (Captain) All Rounder One of the club founders and the first Secretary. Captain-Coach of the first side and the 1953 54 Club Champion. Won the 1953 54 C Grade Flag. Captain-Coach of 1962 63 DDCA C Grade premiership team.
2 David Long (Vice Captain) Bowler/Batsman Commenced in 1978 and Captain-Coach 1984 1987. David won two club championships, batting awards in 1976/77 and 1977/78 and six bowling awards between 1976 and 1985. He captained the first eleven premiership sides in1985/86 and 1986/87. David was awarded life membership in 1989.
3 Denis Doolan All Rounder One of the players to reform the club in 1965. Played for Prahran District Club with a highest score of 146. Won three club batting awards and three bowling awards between 1968 and 1974. Won the F.T.G.A Lomax Medal in 1973/74. Life Member since 1980. Club President for 14 years.
4 Paul Evans Batsman/Bowler – Captain-Coach 1998-¬2001. Won three club championships 1998 2001 and the 1998/99 batting award. Paul was the first coach to get the club into Topline 1 finals. Played district cricket for Dandenong.
5 Jimmy Pumphrey All Rounder Played between 1956 and 1974. Club champion 1966/67 and 1972/73. Won the batting and bowling awards in 1972/73 and 1973/74.
6 Paul Mynott Batsman/Bowler Started as an 8 year old in the juniors and seniors at 14 in 1981. Member of the 1984/85 and 1986/87 first eleven premiership teams. Club champion four times between 1984 and 1998 with three batting awards in that period.
7 Andrew Artner All rounder Played juniors at 8 years of age and seniors at 12. Captain Coach in 1989/ 90 and memberof the 1985/86 first eleven premiership. Andrew was club champion in 1988/89 and in the same year won the batting and bowling awards.
8 John O'Hare Wicketkeeper Played as a junior before leaving, eventually ending up with Prahran and Dandenong district teams playing around 100 district first class games. Played and coached in Ireland. Returned as Captain-Coach this season and this year captained the Ferntree Gully Association side.
9 Darren Hill All Rounder Played juniors and seniors from 1982/83. Club Champion 1989/90 and 2001/02. Darren won the batting award in 2001/02 and four bowling awards between 1989 and 2002. Won the Feaver Medal in 2001/02 season.
10Trevor Ashton Slow Bowler – Captain-Coach 1996/ 97 and Club Champion in 1994/95. Won Bowling awards 1994/95 and 1996/97 and the Feaver Medal in the 1994/95 season.
11 Dave Burgess Jr All Rounder Dave was Captain Coach and Club Champion in 1981/82 and 1983/84. Won two batting awards in 1982/83 and 1983/84.
12 Alan Freeman All Rounder the club's most capped first eleven player. Joined the club in 1983 and member of the 1984/85 and 1986/87 premiership teams. Won batting award in 1993/94 and bowling award in 1986/ 87. Made a Life Member 2002/03.
